HARRY EMILE
Clinician (Under supervision of Tracey Taldon, LICSW)
Greetings! I am a dedicated and compassionate mental health therapist specializing in working with Caribbean, African descent, and BIPOC communities. I am here to provide a safe and nurturing space for exploration and healing.
My therapeutic approach is deeply rooted in the philosophy of Carl Rogers, who believes in the power of client-centered therapy, which emphasizes the importance of building a genuine and empathetic therapeutic relationship. My practice is built on the belief that each individual is unique, with their own emotions, experiences, and aspirations. By fostering a non-judgmental and accepting environment, I encourage open dialogue and mutual respect, allowing my clients to feel heard, understood, and empowered.
Working primarily with adolescents, I am attuned to the intricate challenges that this phase of life can bring, from academic pressures and identity exploration to family dynamics and peer relationships. Moreover, my proficiency in Haitian-Creole and Spanish enables me to effectively communicate with a diverse range of clients, ensuring that language and cultural barriers do not hinder the therapeutic process. I specialize in supporting underserved communities, acknowledging the unique cultural contexts that influence their experiences.
I approach therapy with a holistic perspective, recognizing that mental health is deeply intertwined with physical, emotional, and spiritual well-being. Drawing upon my extensive knowledge of cultural nuances, I tailor my interventions to align with the backgrounds and belief systems of my clients. This promotes a sense of safety, validation, and understanding, fostering an atmosphere where growth and healing can flourish.
Harry can provide services in English, Haitian-Creole and Spanish languages.
