Returning to My Roots: Vending at Simmons Symposium

In a recent and meaningful experience, I had the privilege of returning to my alma mater,

Simmons University, to vend at the Simmons Symposium. This event became a full-circle moment as it provided an opportunity to reconnect with familiar surroundings while forging connections with a diverse group of social workers, many of whom were alumni. Their stories and words of encouragement regarding my work in the field were both motivating and humbling, reaffirming our shared commitment to community service. The symposium itself subtly celebrated the dedication and resilience that unite us as social workers, marking a significant milestone in our collective journeys. I'm grateful for the support and inspiration I've received along this path, and this experience allowed me to revisit my roots, connect with like-minded individuals, and appreciate the role my alma mater has played in shaping who I am today.
